So I figured I'd do a post about the make up I've been using the most this week (yes I know its only tuesday but unless I'm heading out they are my staples), I've just been to uni so it hasn't been anything special but the products themselves are absolutely lovely! Sorry they've been used by the way! I wasn't 100% sure that I would start this blog up when I bought my products, will make sure to photograph any new stuff before I use them for future posts!
I love Benefit products, over the years I have used everything from there mascara to their foundation and I always go back to try something new every now and then. On a whim I bought Benefits Erase Paste, I didn't know if the colour would suit me as it only comes in one shade but I was really glad to find it did! Its a very thick paste and you do only need a little bit of it, I find its an excellent concealer without making you look like you're wearing concealer and is a very easy way to brighten your eyes right up! I don't find it 100% amazing in covering up my spots (when I do get them now they're huge mount vesuvius ones!) but overall its a wonderful product!
So far the fragrance I've veen using like crazy is Lady GAGA's FAME, first I thought it would be pretty weird, considering well it is Lady GAGA we're talking about, but apart from the fact the liquid is black, its very normal and it smells surprisingly fruity but at the same time quite powdery? Its not a very strong smell and would probably be better for a summer fragrance I think, but I do love it and it retails at about £40 for the 100ml bottle and thats not half bad!
For as long as I can remember my mother has told me to moisturise and how important it is! I admit that when I was younger I didn't take much heed but now I'm in my 20s I genuinely worry that I will develop wrinkles, the last few months I've been using Olay essentials double action cream for sensitive skin, and I love it! The wee tub lasts for ages and the cream instantly makes my skin feel softer.
The foundation I'm using is relatively new, I tried my friends MAC foundation (NW30) first (although hers was a different colour to see how it felt on my face) and I really liked it, I felt my Clinique foundation was starting to feel quite heavy on my skin, and so far I am loving my foundation! It goes on quite smoothly and gives me full coverage as I feel my skin is slightly blemished due to spots when I was younger, you don't really need a lot, literally just a squeeze and you should be sorted!
One of my other newer purchases is MACs Fix+ spray, I was very skeptical at first considering it just seemed like fancy water, but I do feel it has made a difference to how long my make up has lasted. I tend to spray it on after I've put on my face powder and blush/bronzer cause I feel it makes my skin looks less powdery/fresher looking. Its got cucumber and chamomile in it so it smells quite nice as well! Think it would be especially handy to refresh your make up when you're going straight from day to night without a proper chance at a top up!

This is another one of my Benefit products, benefit does loads of palattes and mini packs with a bunch of there products, this is one I nicked from my sister (Sorry!). Top right we have Coralista, top left we have Hoola- a bronzing powder and bottom right we have Dallas - a face powder. I have used them all and I think my favourite is Coralista, its a lovely pinkish colour and it looks very subtle on my skin, Hoola is very nice as well and it just gives your face a lovely warm glow. The brush itself isn't too bad but I have my own set from debenhams (seriously if you don't have a brush set go invest! Best decision I ever made!) but overall I love the trio and they could possibly work for everyone!
I have been waiting for MONTHS for this bad boy, wish I had got a picture of it unused cause it was BEAUTIFUL. It is Clarins' limited edition Odyssey palette and it is an absolutely beautiful face powder! It instantly evens out my skin tone and it's just perfect! I have used a variety of face powders over the years and this is by far the best! It's also my first clarins product, so I think I'll have a look at what other beauty wonders they have!
I generally tend to use two mascaras cause I still haven't found the holy grail of mascaras that does everything I want, I do love this combination tho, the Maybelline Falsies Volum' Express is my favourite high street mascara, its also wonderful on its own but I like my lashes to look very thick and long!
I've used the Diorshow on and off for many years and I do tend to go back to it (when I can afford it) and I do like it a lot, its very pigmented and black which is one of my favourite things about it.
I generally use gel eyeliner but I was running low and on a whim at Boots I picked up L'oreals Super Liner Ultra Precision, I was slightly worried when I opened it cause the brush was very fine and I was worried it would be really flimsy, but its surprisingly quite firm and very easy to use (even my sister loved it and she always messes up using liquid eyeliner), again it's also a very pigmented black which is something I look for in eyeliner!
So thats the end of my post! Sorry that it was so long!! X
